Indumati Chamanlal was an Indian freedom fighter, gandhian and the founder of the first Khadi store in India.[1][2][3] She was the first minister for textiles in the Indian state of Gujarat during which time she established the first Khadi store in India at Ahmedabad.[1] She was honoured by the Government of India in 1970 with Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.[4]
