Five Indian rupee note is the second smallest Indian note in circulation. The Reserve Bank of India has introduced 5 rupees banknote in the Mahatma Gandhi Series since 1996.[1]The printing of notes in the denominations of Rs 5, however, has been discontinued as these denominations have been coinised.
