Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin (イナズマイレブン アレスの天秤 Inazuma Irebun Aresu no Tenbin, lit. "Lightning Eleven: Balance of Ares") is a 2018 anime television series, based on the Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin role-playing video game of the same name.
Plot summary
Ares no Tenbin depicts an alternative canon following the events of the first season of the original Inazuma Eleven anime. Taking place sometime after Raimon's victory in the Football Frontier, in this alternative universe, the alien attack from the second season never occurs. Japanese soccer has been deemed weak compared to international competition. Due to this, the Raimon Eleven have been disbanded, and its members are sent to different soccer teams across Japan in the hopes of strengthening Japan's soccer at a national level. Moreover, in the modern world of Japanese youth soccer, sponsorship has become a vital aspect of a team's survival. A youth team must have a sponsor, otherwise, their club will face disbandment, and are not permitted to partake in matches.
The series focuses on the forward Asuto Inamori and his team, Inakuni Raimon, which is made up of players from the remote Inakunijima Island. They have replaced the original Raimon Eleven as Raimon Junior High's soccer team, and are competing as underdogs in the annual Football Frontier youth tournament.

On Inakunijima, a small island off the Japanese mainland, Inamori Asuto plays soccer for his school's soccer club. However, the club, which lacks a sponsor, is abolished due to the "sponsorship system", which determines the need for a soccer team to be sponsored. Soon afterward, Asuto's mother passes away, her dying words to Asuto being that soccer will always be there for him. The club members are told that there is a sponsor willing to support the club, under the condition that they enter the "Football Frontier", a national youth soccer tournament, and win a single match. However, their opponent will be a higher ranked Seishou Gakuen. Furthermore, they will be transferred to Raimon Junior High in Tokyo, where they will become the new "Raimon" team. After everyone is on board, they arrive in Tokyo. They begin their match against Seishou Gakuen, and Inakuni Raimon gains an early lead when Kozoumaru Sasuke scores with "Fire Tornado". However this "awakens" Haizaki Ryouhei, Seishou Gakuen's star forward, into a far more maniacal and aggressive player, as he and his teammates prepare to initiate the "Death Zone" soccer play. | ||

Seishou Gakuen equalize with the "Death Zone" shot, and Inakuni Raimon quickly becomes overwhelmed. Events flashback to the prior day, when Inakuni Raimon first arrived at Raimon Jr. High. They meet Mikado Anna, president of the student council, their team manager, Ootani Tsukushi, and their coach, a Chinese man called Zhao Jin Yun. They are also given all given an "Eleven Band", an electronic band that all soccer players are required to wear. Inakuni Raimon is aggravated when Jin Yun's training regime for them just involves them doing chores around the city, and when he tells them that to win you "don't lose". At their match the following day, Inakuni Raimon are struggling against Seishou Gakuen. Haizaki Ryouhei wonders what merit Kidou Yuuto sees in fighting them.
