Imdadul Haq Milan (born 8 September 1955) is a Bangladeshi novelist and editor of the daily Kaler Kantho.[2] He was awarded Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1992.[3]

Early life and education

Born in Bikrampur, Milan spent his childhood with his maternal grandmother.[1] He then moved to Gendaria in Dhaka. He wrote his first story Bondhu in 1973. Bangla Academy's Uttaradhikar magazine published his first novel Jabojjibon.[1] Milan graduated from Jagannath College.[4]

Works

Emdadul Haque Milan is a popular writer in Bangladesh. His novel 'Nurjahan' has created a huge stir in two Bengalis. As of February 2013, he has published over 150 books.[5] Currently, he is working as the editor of The Daily Kaler Kontho.[6]
