Ihsanullah (born 28 December 1997) is an Afghan cricketer.[1] He made his first-class debut for Afghanistan against the Netherlands in the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup on 29 July 2016.[2] Prior to his first-class debut, he played for the Afghanistan U-19 team in the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[3][4]

International career

He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Afghanistan against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on 24 February 2017.[5] He made his domestic List A debut (having already played two List A matches for Afghanistan A and the ODI against Zimbabwe) for Boost Region in the 2017 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament on 11 August 2017.[6] He made his Twenty20 debut for Mis Ainak Knights in the 2017 Shpageeza Cricket League on 12 September 2017.[7]

In November 2017, in Afghanistan's Intercontinental Cup match against the United Arab Emirates, Ihsanullah and Rahmat Shah Zurmatai made the highest partnership for Afghanistan in first-class cricket, scoring 197 runs for the second wicket.[8] Ihsanullah also scored his maiden first-class century in the process.[8]

Test cricket

In May 2018, he was named in Afghanistan's squad for their inaugural Test match, played against India, but he was not selected for the match.[9][10]

T20 franchise career

In September 2018, he was named in Paktia's squad in the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League tournament.[11]
