Igor Dmitrievich Rostorotsky (Russian: Игорь Дмитриевич Ростороцкий; born 4 February 1962)[2] is a retired Soviet wrestler who competed in the Greco-Roman superheavyweight division. He won both the world and European titles in 1985 and 1987.[3] He was the first, and one of only two wrestlers who defeated Aleksandr Karelin, 1–0 at the 1987 Soviet Union Nationals.[4]

Rostorotsky was born in Russia, but later moved to Kazakhstan and graduated from the Karagandy State University with a degree in law.[1][2]
