Idionyx travancorensis[2] is a species of dragonfly in the family Corduliidae. It is known only from the Western Ghats of India.[3] Idionyx species are difficult to capture, and generally impossible to identify without capture; so there has been a lack of expert sampling. Fraser (1931) states that the species occurs from 3,000 - 4,000 ft in the Western Ghats and breeds in mountain streams. Nothing else is known of its habitat or ecology.[1][4][5]
