Ida Schuster (born 28 September 1918 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a retired Scottish stage and film actress. She turned 100 in September 2018.[1]
Biography
Ida is one of nine children, her parents were Jewish immigrants who moved from Vilna to Glasgow at the end of the 19th century. Her older sister, Ray, married on Avron Greenbaum who founded the Glasgow Jewish Institute Players,[2] and her brother, Leon Schuster, was production manager for GJIP (Glasgow Jewish Institute Players) and, later, Glasgow Unity Theatre.[3]
Personal life
Ida married doctor, Allan Berkeley, until his death in 1990. They had two children, Howard and Peter.[4] She lives in Glasgow.
