Iain Moireach

Iain Moireach (born 1938) is a Scottish Gaelic writer from Barvas, Isle of Lewis.[1][2] He has written poetry, screenplays, and short stories.[3][4]

He published many short stories in the Gaelic magazines Gairm and Gath.[5]

Life

Iain Moireach was born in Barvas, Lewis. He was educated at the Nicolson Institute and at the University of Edinburgh.[6] He taught at a school in Musselburgh.[6] He has been the editor for Comunn nan Leabhraichean since 1969.[6]
