HyperLobby is primarily designed to support online Flight Simulation and some other online games.[2]

HyperLobby has a connection into the Internet by TCP port 1698, and for latency calculation between clients it uses an ICMP echo reply protocol [3] which allows a display of latency between the client and a server. It is free program that is supported by donations.

It allows for a list of servers, and security as it has a user name login with password, which also appears ingame. The format of HyperLobby is with a list of servers, players, with abilities to add friends to a contact list and save servers into a favourite list. A chat function is also facilitated for [4] and new users can ask members in the chat for assistance.

The most popular use for the game is IL-2 Sturmovik (video game).[2]

HyperLobby was developed first in 2000 and requires Windows 2000 or later and it supports Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit mode)
