Hypericum aegypticum, also known as Egyptian Saint John's wort, is an evergreen shrub or shrublet in the section Adenotrias of the genus Hypericum.
Description
Size
The species grows to be up to two meters tall in the wild. However, it grows to be only 15 centimeters tall in cultivation.[4]

Hypericum aegypticum flowers during the summer season.[5]
Sepals
The species' sepals are ovate and pointed at their tops. They are colored yellow-green and also sometimes have a reddish tip. They can grow to be 5-6 millimeters long.[6]
Distribution
It can be found frequently in the wild and is indigenous to Malta, Greece, Morocco, Algeria, and Libya.[7][8]
Habitat

The species is found in limestone rocks and scree in valleys in coastal areas. It is found anywhere from sea level to 1600 meters above sea level.
Conservational Status
Hypericum aegypticum has not been assessed for the IUCN Red List. There are currently no laws protecting the species.[9]
Naming
Alternate names
Hypericum aegypticum has many synonyms including Hypericum webii, Triadina aegypticum, and Triadina webii.[10] It is also referred to as Egyptian Saint John's Wort.[11] Less frequently, Dwarf Saint John's Wort is used as an alternate nickname.[12]

Hypericum aegypticum is an unresolved name according to the WCSP.[13]
