Hydrangea kawakamii is a species of hydrangea endemic to Taiwan. It is a climbing shrub that flowers in July. It occurs in dense forests at elevations of 2,200–2,300 m (7,200–7,500 ft) above sea level. It might be conspecific with Hydrangea aspera,[1] and the Flora of Taiwan treats it as a synonym of that species.[2]
