Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP; lit. Faction for Change) is a regional political party in the Philippines.[1] It was formed by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte in 2018. The party was established in support of her father President Rodrigo Duterte's government.[2][3] In July 2018, the Philippine Commission on Elections granted the accreditation of Hugpong ng Pagbabago. In addition to the party's alignment with the Duterte administration, Sara Duterte said that she formed Hugpong ng Pagbabago "to pursue the ideals of what we all want, a strong region, a secure life for our constituents, good governance and effective leadership of the members of the party."[4]
