Hubert Curien Multi-disciplinary Institute

The Hubert Curien Multi-disciplinary Institute ("Institut pluridisciplinaire Hubert Curien (IPHC)") is a mixed research unit (UMR 7178) of the French Centre national de la recherche scientifique and of the University of Strasbourg, created January 1, 2006. It was formed by the voluntary association of three research laboratories at the University of Strasbourg.[1]

History

The following were the laboratories that joined together to form the institute in January 2006 :

  • The Institute for Subatomic Research (l'Institut de Recherches Subatomiques (IReS))
  • le Centre d'Écologie et Physiologie Énergétiques (CEPE)
  • le laboratoire des Sciences Analytiques et Interactions Ioniques Moléculaires et Biomoléculaires

The institute is named after Hubert Curien.
