Hoogezand-Sappemeer (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɦoːɣəˌzɑnt ˈsɑpəˌmeːr] (
Location
The railway station is located at the Stationsweg in the municipality of Hoogezand-Sappemeer in the south of the province of Groningen in the northeast of the Netherlands. It is situated on the Harlingen–Nieuweschans railway between the railway stations Martenshoek and Sappemeer Oost.[2]

The former station building was completed in 1865. It was designed by Karel Hendrik van Brederode. The building was demolished in 1989.[1]
The signal box from the station is now at the Railway Museum in Utrecht.
The current station building was completed in 1989. It was designed by Rob Steenhuis.[1]
At the station, the double track has two separate platforms.[3]
Services
Trains
Three local train services (Dutch: stoptrein, German: Regionalbahn), which are all operated by Arriva, call at Hoogezand-Sappemeer:
- Stoptrein 20100 or Regionalbahn 57 (1x per hour): Groningen – Winschoten – Bad Nieuweschans – Leer
- Stoptrein 37500 (1x per hour): Groningen – Winschoten
- Stoptrein 37800 (2x per hour): Groningen – Veendam
Buses
There is one bus connection at the station, which is operated by Qbuzz:[4][5]
