Hong Lim Single Member Constituency

Hong Lim Single Member Constituency is a constituency in Chinatown, Singapore. It was dissolved in 1976 but currently it is part of Jalan Besar GRC (Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng). Currently there is a Hong Lim Complex around the older constituency, and Telok Ayer, together with Hong Lim shares the same community club.

  • 1959 - 12,667 voters
  • 1963 - 12,003 voters
  • 1968 - 10,388 voters
  • 1972 - 7,486 voters
  • 1976 - 5,226 voters

The constituency has been dwindled by so much. In 1968, 1,615 voters has been shifted to Bukit Ho Swee. Later on, 5,162 voters has been shifted to Serangoon private houses. This means that remaining people will be merged into Telok Ayer.
