History
The department store was originally founded in a different location by Norwegian immigrant Andrew Hoff and his brother-in-law, Adolph Elver. It was the first business to be located in Mount Horeb.[3] The store remained in operation until 1984.
In 1989, the building was added to the State and the National Register of Historic Places.[4]
