Hightower is a French punk rock band from Paris founded in 2013 by two cousins, Romain Mariani and Jeremie Lombard, who grew up listening to punk rock music from the 1990s. The band is notable for their combination of heavy vocals and intense melodies which create an original mix of energy and thrill.[1][2]

Biography

Hightower was founded in 2013 by Romain Mariani, the drummer, and Jeremie Lombard, the guitarist. They met Alexis Calvi and Benjamin Dubois who play the bass and the guitar. Vincent Crespel, who used to play the guitar, decided to take the lead on vocals.

In 2014, they record their debut album Sure. Fine. Whatever. at the Omen Room Studios in Los Angeles, California. The album was produced by Steve Evetts.

In the same year, they toured Finland and France with the band One Hidden Frame.

In 2015, their debut album Sure. Fine. Whatever. was released on vinyl and CD by Knives Out Records.[3] They started a European tour with the band Fake Shakes (in France, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Slovakia).[4][5][6] In April, they tour Great Britain with the band Fairview.[7]

In 2016, they played a few festivals as the Rhinos Feroces[8] and played both in France and Germany.

In late 2016, they decided to fly to Los Angeles to record their second album with Steve Evetts at the Omen Room Studios.

On May 9, 2017, they signed on Krod Records for European release.[9]

A first single entitled The Party was released on May 22 and the release of the album Club Dragon was planned for September 2017.[10][11][12]
