Series chronology

The sixth series of the children's television series Hi-5 aired between 18 October 2004[1][2] and 26 November 2004 on the Nine Network in Australia. The series was produced by Kids Like Us for Nine with Helena Harris as executive producer. The series served as a "best of" collection, compiling segments which originally aired as part of the fourth and fifth series, with new songs of the week.

Kellie and Chats paddle a canoe in search of a crocodile. Charli pretends to paddle and row. Tim imagines visiting the Land of the Brass Blowers, where they speak using brass instruments. Charli pretends to play a trumpet and trombone. Nathan goes on an African safari and discovers different animals along the way. Charli pretends to go to the jungle and swim under the sea. Kathleen goes on a pretend underwater journey in search of a rare, spotty and stripy fish. Charli pretends to be a silly shark. Sharing Stories: Tim tells a story about a girl (Charli) who visits the museum along with her sister (Kathleen), Charli doesn't like dinosaurs but Kathleen does, until the dinosaurs of the museum (Kellie and Nathan) come alive.

Kathleen sings opera while matching the pitches of musical glasses filled to different levels. Charli pretends to be a hairdresser. Nathan pretends to be an astronaut landing on the moon and playing a space ball game with a moon creature. Charli pretends to be a magical bush creature. Kellie helps Chats become a racing car driver using a cardboard box as her racing car. Charli wishes to be the best swimmer. Tim sings a magical song while playing the panpipes in the forest, and attracts a phoenix and dragon. Sharing Stories: Nathan tells a story about Charli's wish shop, where the customers (Kellie, Tim and Kathleen) make wishes and she grants them.

Nathan dresses up as a genie and goes into a genie bottle. Charli practices her magical genie movements. Kellie and Chats stare at an eclipse and they make a wish on it. Charli has a sailor life. Tim uses symbols to help Kellie and Nathan write down the music playing through their minds, before they play the song on their imaginary instruments. Charli pretends to play a drum kit, and Kellie gives her a real one. Sharing Stories: Kellie tells a story about a boy (Tim) who wants to be the boss of his house like his mother (Kathleen), so he dreams he is her mother and he has to look after his brother and sister (Nathan and Charli).

Kathleen visits London and Jup Jup hides inside her backpack. Tim imagines being the conductor of an orchestra, with the others imagining being singing stars of other music styles. Charli imagines living in a colourful rainbow. Nathan pretends to be King Neptune, the ruler of an underwater kingdom. Charli pretends to be a fish. Sharing Stories: Tim tells a story about a girl (Kellie) who loves to make people laugh, and she goes together with her friend (Charli) to a clown show, but a clown (Kathleen) gets a cold and the other clown (Nathan) needs another one to keep the show.

Kellie can do the cancan, the twist, the cha cha and lots of different dances. Charli feels full of energy. Tim, Kellie, Kathleen and Nathan get ready for the gum boot throwing. Charli pretends to be a taekwondo master. Sharing Stories: Kellie tells a story about three monkeys (Charli, Tim and Nathan) who have fun before the water of the river rises and then they will get home, but they don't pay attention to time and their mother (Kathleen) arrives because time is over.

Chats is Kellie's soccer coach because it rains outside. Charli and Kathleen play hockey. Nathan, Tim and Kathleen paddle down an imaginary river. Charli pretends to paddle and row. Kathleen goes on a surfing safari but Jup Jup takes away the waves. Charli pretends to be a dolphin. Tim plays funky punk music in his space, but is unsure if the rest of Hi-5 will enjoy it too. Charli has got crazy hair for the crazy dance competition. Sharing Stories: Tim tells a story about three dazzling ducks (Kathleen, Charli and Kellie) that want a new dancer and they put on an audition, but they get surprised when a disco cat (Nathan) arrives instead of a duck.

Nathan puts on his super energy dust busting suit to clean all around. Charli pretends to be a washing machine. Kellie invents a musical mat which allows her to dance along to three different styles of music. Charli sings about a fruit salad. Tim celebrates fitness day along with a chicken (Kellie), a horse (Kathleen) and an elephant (Nathan). Charli pretends to be a ducking down duck. Kathleen makes an obstacle course indoors, but Jup Jup destroys it and she must make it outside. Charli pretends to be a mouse on a mouse playground. Sharing Stories: Tim tells a story about a hungry turtle (Kellie) who gets excited when a possum (Nathan) tells her about a new veggie patch, but as she walks slowly, a kangaroo (Charli) and a rabbit (Kathleen) help her to find how to get faster.

Kellie and Chats fly helicopters. Charli pretends to be a helicopter. Tim pretends to be a scientist and invents a robot that can play music at different speeds; andante, moderato and allegro. Charli pretends to be a robot who is powered by the sun. Gadget Guy (Nathan) shows us his gadgets and rescues a kitten from the top of a tree. Charli rides her scooter around her space. Kathleen wants to make a racing car but Jup Jup makes it difficult. Charli sings "Give it a Go". Sharing Stories: Kathleen tells a story about a girl (Charli) who makes a remote control that speed up time, so when her father (Nathan) asks her to tidy up her bedroom, she can do it very fast, but when her friends (Kellie and Tim) are coming for her birthday, the remote control is out of control and the party happens so fast.

Kathleen goes down a mountain by a toboggan, snowboard and skis. Charli pretends to go on skis. Nathan works on the road, fixing a broken pipe. Charli fills her car with petrol and then she rides it. Kellie and Chats discover things starting with S while sitting on the sand, from sandcastles to starfish. Charli skips the rope slower every once. Tim plays a drum copying the sound of the waves. Charli pretends to swim.Sharing Stories: Kathleen tells a story about a girl (Charli) who is about to make her first snowman, she does it on her own because her father (Tim) is a little bit busy, and once she gets it, the snowman (Nathan) comes alive and they play together.

One of Tim's singing canaries lost her voice, and he gets a new goose. Charli asks Kathleen to play a three legged running race with her. Chats starts her sandwich shop and Kellie tells her the orders on the tin can telephone. Charli pretends to eat some fruit and we have to guess which one. Kathleen is going away for the weekend, and makes a list of things she will need. Charli sings "In the Bathroom". Nathan does some gardening, he cuts the trees making shapes. Charli prunes a rose bush. Sharing Stories: Kellie tells a story about the Forgetful family, once they went to the beach, Mr. and Mrs. Forgetful (Nathan and Charli) unpack everything and they get proud because they didn't forget anything, but their children (Tim and Kathleen) just want go swimming.

Kellie shows a memory book full of her baby memories. Charli pretends to be a baby that grows up. Nathan puts some things in a plastic jar and he will send it to a friend. Charli shows her family's hats and what are they going to do while wearing those hats. Kathleen sorts her photos and she must choose six of them to frame them. Tim thinks about the different styles of music that his father and grandfather played when they were younger. Charli has got triplets (Kathleen and Kellie) and they copy her. Sharing Stories: Charli tells a story about a family (Kellie, Tim and Kathleen) that can never decide anything, until a new baby (Nathan) is born and they must name him.

Kathleen runs her animal daycare and Jup Jup swaps the numbers of babies' cots. Charli feeds baby Tim and baby Nathan. Tim builds a musical dog house for Jock. Charli invents a new dance for a dog. Nathan builds a tent but he can't do it on her own, so he ask Tim for help. Kellie teaches Charli to whistling. Kellie and the Hi-5 band celebrate Chats' birthday. Charli carries a piece of cake for Kathleen. Sharing Stories: Tim tells a story about two cows (Kathleen and Kellie) that just chew and moo all day long, until another cow (Nathan) tells them about a new cow (Charli) with new moves and groove.

Kathleen matches the Hi-5 band faces with the things they like. Nathan builds a dog house for Kellie's new dog. Charli dogsits three puppies. Tim hears a rhythm and imagines being at Rhythm City, where everyone do everything in the same rhythm. Charli makes patterns with her hands, just like a kaleidoscope. Kellie makes a fruit salad rainbow. Charli matches colours with her feelings. Sharing Stories: Nathan tells a story about rainbow (Charli) who is going to be appeared in the sky but she lost her colours, so she goes in search for pixies (Tim, Kellie and Kathleen) that paint the sunset, the sea and the trees.

Kellie and Chats look for animals that start with A. Charli pretends to be a clever puppy doing some tricks. Nathan finds clothes to dress up like different animals. Charli pretends to be different animals and we have to guess them. Kathleen pretends to be a rabbit collecting carrots and making a carrot drink. Charli finds a real rabbit inside of a magician's top hat. Tim invites cats from around the world to make meowsic. Charli sings about two different cats. Sharing Stories: Kellie tells a story about a new zoo keeper (Tim) who looks after two elephants (Kathleen and Nathan), but he doesn't know anything about elephant life, while Charli is a visitor of the zoo.
