Herpestoidea is a superfamily of mammalia carnivores which includes mongooses,[1] carnivores of Madagascar[2] and the hyenas.
Herpestoidea, with the exception of the hyenas, have a cylindrical and elongated body, which allows them to catch their prey and get into holes.[1] Herpestoideas are feliforms and experts in hunting animals bigger than them.[3]
They live through Eurasia, Africa and the island of Madagascar.[3]
