Henry de Winton

Henry de Winton (1823-1895 ) was Archdeacon of Brecon from 1875 until[1] 1895.

De Winton was educated at Shrewsbury School and Trinity College, Cambridge. While a Cambridge undergraduate, in 1848, he with John Charles Thring developed a set of football rules, later called the Cambridge Rules.[2][3] He died on 7 April 1895.[4]
