Henry M. Milner was a 19th-century playwright and author of melodramas and popular tragedies.[1] His most notable work, The Man and The Monster; or The Fate of Frankenstein opened on 3 July 1826 at the Royal Coburg Theatre, six months after Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's The Last Man was published.[2] Subsequent film adaptations follow Milner's theatrical adaptation of Frankenstein's monstrous creation as a pivotal scene.[3]
