Henry Corbin (also Corbyn) (1629–1675/76) was an emigrant from England who went on to serve in both the Virginia House of Burgesses and Governor's Council.
Biography
Corbin was born in 1629 in Warwickshire and immigrated to Virginia in 1654, settling in Lancaster County, which is now part of Middlesex County. The governor and council made him a justice of the county court in 1657.[1] He served in the Virginia House of Burgesses for Lancaster, Virginia in at least the 1659–60 session.[2] In 1663, he was appointed to the Virginia Governor's Council.[3] He remained on the council until his death in 1676.[1]
