Henry Adams (Wisconsin politician)

Henry Adams was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly and the Wisconsin State Senate.

Biography

Adams was born on April 30, 1811 in Bedford County, Pennsylvania.[1] Later, he owned a farm in what would become Mount Pleasant, Green County, Wisconsin before moving to Hardin County, Iowa and eventually Monroe, Wisconsin. Adams died on July 13, 1871. He was married to Sarah Mills. They had ten children.

Legislative career

Adams was a member of the legislature of the Wisconsin Territory. He served in the Assembly in 1848 before being elected to the Senate in 1867 and 1868. Adams was originally a Democrat and later a Republican.
