Henri-Charles-Camille Lambrecht, born 26 January 1848 [1] was 23rd bishop of Ghent between 1888–1889
Born in Welden, Lambrecht was educated in the local school. After his studies in St. Joseph Minor Seminary, he became Sacrae Theologiae Doctor — S.T.D. He taught at the Leuven university, was canon of St Bavon and Vicar General in 1880-1886, then he became Adjutor.
Episcopate
Lambrecht became bishop elect after the death of Henricus Franciscus Bracq, he was ordained by Pierre-Lambert Cardinal Goossens. He died in Denderleeuw, only after one year episcopate. He became ill during episcopal visit, and was buried in his birthplace Welden.
Lambrecht was succeeded by Antoon Stillemans, from Sint-Niklaas.
