Heliogomphus promelas[2] is a species of dragonfly in the family Gomphidae. It is endemic to the Western Ghats of India.[1][3][4] This species is found on small mountain streams or occasionally restricted to tiny brooks or seepage on hillsides. It occurs in colonies, and is thus usually moderately common where found.[5][6][7]
