Heilung is an experimental folk band of members from Denmark, Norway, and Germany.[1] Their label is Season of Mist. Their albums include Ofnir (2015) and Lifa (2017).[2] Heilung means "healing" in German.[3]
Heilung was nominated in the Best Underground Band category for a Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award in 2018.[4] Their 2017 performance at Midgardsblot was listed as one of the ten best performances of 2017 by Metal Hammer.[5] In the same year, they recorded their live album Lifa at Castlefest in the Netherlands, which has received over 6.5 million views after its release on YouTube.[6] Their debut album was reissued on vinyl and CD by Season of Mist in April of 2018.[7] In August 2018 Heilung headlined alternative music, folk music and experimental music festival Mėnuo Juodaragis.
