Heherson "Sonny" Turingan Alvarez is a politician from the Philippines. He has served as a member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines and the Senate of the Philippines. He also was Secretary of Agrarian Reform, and Minister of Agrarian Reform.

Education

Former Senator Sonny Alvarez studied liberal arts at University of the Philippines. He also earned a master's degree in Economics and Public Administration from Harvard University.

Alvarez is married to Cecile Guidote; the couple have two children, Hexilon and Xilca.
