He Rong

He Rong (Chinese: 贺荣; born October 1962) is a Chinese politician currently serving as Deputy Party Secretary of Shaanxi province. She is one of less than a handful of women serving in this office at the provincial level. She has a professional background in law.

Biography

Born in Linyi County, Shandong, she studied litigation at the China University of Political Science and Law. She joined the Communist Party of China in June 1984. A legal professional by trade, she rose through the Beijing court system as a researcher, law clerk, then judge. She was named the chief of the Second Intermediate People's Court of Beijing, and then deputy chief of the Beijing High Court (a court of appeal).

In December 2011, she began serving on the Supreme People's Court as part of the jury. In October 2013 she was elevated to the vice-president of the Supreme People's Court.[1]

In March 2017, He was named a member of the Shaanxi provincial party standing committee. In March 2018, she was named deputy party chief of Shaanxi.[2][3]
