Hassan Mahmood Khandker is a Bangladeshi former Inspector General of Bangladesh Police from 31 August 2010 to 30 December 2014.He born a reputed Muslim family at Pirgacha Upazilla under Rangpur district. He was the Longest serving Inspector General in Bangladesh Police's history.[1] He received the Bangladesh Police Medal and the President Police Medal. He was made the ambassador of Bangladesh to Spain in 2015.[2]During his tenure as Police chief Bangladesh Police received the Independence Day Award.[3] He has charges against him in International Criminal Court (ICC) for crimes against humanity.[4] He was the former chief of Rapid Action Battalion.[5]
