Hashmi Syed

The Hashmi(Nekokara) is a tribe descended from the Banu Hashim clan of the Quraish, and are found in Punjab, Pakistan. They are concentrated in the Jhang , Sahiwal,Chiniot,Multan districts of Punjab.

The Hashmi clan reportedly originated in Saudia 600 years ago. In addition to Sahiwal Fareed Town, Jhang[Basti Ghazi Shah,Basti Shah Shakoor,Chak No 458 Mian Wali Shah,Chak No 461 Mian Murad Shah] and Chiniot, Hashmis also hold lands in Gujranwala and also live in Azad kashmir and Sargodha districts.
