Hampton High is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form located in Hampton in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England. A £15m refurbishment to the school was completed in 2014.

Mrs Poole has been the Headteacher at the school since September 2017.

Hampton High is part of a Multi Academy Trust, the Richmond West Schools Trust, along with Twickenham School. The Trust is supported by other local secondary schools, including Waldegrave School.[1][2][3]

History

The first school to be built on the site of Hampton High was named Rectory Farm School, established in 1936.[4] It was later renamed Hampton Community College.[4]

By 2001, the school buildings at Hampton Community College, and other local schools, were considered inadequate for a modern education system.[5] The school was re-built as part of the sponsored academies programme,[6] re-opening as Hampton academy in 2010, under the governance of the Learning Schools Trust.[7]

The governance of Hampton Academy was transferred to the Richmond West Schools Trust in September 2016.[8] Its name was changed to Hampton High shortly afterwards.
