Hal Dominic Bart Cruttenden (born 9 September 1969) is an English stand-up comedian, writer and actor[2] who has appeared on Mock the Week, Live at the Referendum, Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News for You, The 11 O'Clock Show, Richard Herring's Leicester Square Podcast, The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice, and Pointless Celebrities.

He has also written for The Omid Djalili Show and The Rob Brydon Show. He was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2002 Edinburgh Comedy Awards.[3]

Biography

Cruttenden grew up in Ealing, west London[4] and he was educated at St Paul's School[5] and the University of York.[6] He is married to Dawn Coulter-Cruttenden, an artist,[7] with whom he has two daughters, born in 2000 and 2002.[8]

Having studied acting, he had bit parts on EastEnders and Kavanagh QC in the 1990s, and voiced BBC traffic reports. At 27, he did his first comedy gig.[9]
