Haggai 2 is the second chapter of the Book of Haggai in the Hebrew Bible or the Old Testament of the Christian Bible.[1][2] This book contains the prophecies spoken by the prophet Haggai, and is a part of the Book of the Twelve Minor Prophets.[3][4]

Verse 1

In the seventh month, on the twenty-first of the month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying:[6]

The date is October 17, 520 BC in current calendar calculation. In the ancient Jewish calendar this day was the last day of Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles; see Leviticus 23:33-44).[7]

Verse 10

On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, .[8]

The date is December 24, 520 BC in Julian calendar; or December 18, 520 BC in current calendar calculation.[7]
