Hong Duc University (HDU) is a public university in Vietnam, located in Thanh Hoa city, nearby Lam Son high school and Sam Son beach. It offers bachelor's and master's degrees, mainly in teacher training, economics, technology and agriculture.
History
Hong Duc University was established by Decision No. 797/TTg issued by the Prime Minister on 24 September 1997.[1] Founded in 1997, Hong Duc University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large town of Thanh Hóa (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), North Central Coast. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam, Hong Duc University (HDU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Hong Duc University (HDU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study.
Campus
Main campus is currently located in Quan Nam, Dong Ve ward, Thanh Hoa city.

HDU organizes the exam annually to enroll new students for every field of study in the university.

The programs which HDU uses to teach are discussed and selected carefully from many sources with the purpose “Study accompanies with practical” (Ho Chi Minh). Students can study and apply the theory in the lab experiments. In addition, they also have field trips to visit some places and get real experiences.

Extracurriculars
- Miss University
Miss University is an annual event with the purpose of honoring the beauty of Vietnamese women and encouraging students to preserve and promote a model life. [2]
- Volunteer Activities
The Student Union of Hong Duc University holds many volunteer activities for students to join, such as teaching languages to orphans or helping new students with enrollment exams for residents. In addition, students can help people in poor villages during summer vacation.
