Körfuknattleiksdeild Hattar, commonly known as Höttur, is the basketball department of multi-sport club Íþróttafélagið Höttur. Its men's senior team will play in the Icelandic second-tier 1. deild karla in 2018-2019 after being relegated from the top-tier Úrvalsdeild karla.

History

Höttur first achieved promotion to the Úrvalsdeild karla in 2005, after beating Valur in the Division I promotion finals.[2] It finished last in the 2005-2006 Úrvalsdeild, with 3 victories in 22 games, and was relegated back to Division I.[3][4]

It won Division I and promotion to the Úrvalsdeild in 2015[5] and 2017[6] but was relegated back to Division I both times.[7][8]
