Gymnoscelis daniloi is a moth in the family Geometridae that is endemic to Cape Verde and are founded in the upper portions of the island of Fogo in the areas of Chã das Caldeiras and within the large caldera.[2]

The species was first described in Portela and was named in 2009.[2]

The wingspan is 18–20 millimetres (0.71–0.79 in). The ground colour is pale brown to brown. Both wings have numerous undulate blackish transverse lines.

Etymology

The species is named for Eurico Danilo Montrond a friend of the discoverer of the species, Eyjolf Aistleitner.
