Gulubane

Gulubane is a village found in the northern part of Botswana, in North East District. The village is separated with five wards being Chume,Nkau, Nkhwa, Madwala, and Matshingitsi. It was founded in 1911.[1] According to the Guide to the Villages of Botswana published in 1973, Gulubane had 123 dwellings and a population of 609.[2] In 2013, it had a population of 897.[1] There was no public transport to Gulubane in 2013 due to the bad condition of the roads though the roads were not to be improved using inter-locked bricks.[3][4] The population was said to be 797 in 2015, which was insufficient to upgrade the health post in the village to a clinic with a maternity wing.[5] Heavy rains in early 2018 destroyed 13 households in Gulubane.[6]
