Guillermo "Guille" Abascal (born 13 April 1989) is a Spanish football manager of Lugano in the Swiss Super League.
Managerial career
Born in Seville, Abascal was a youth footballer in Barcelona's youth academy, La Masia. At 19, he retired from footballing to pursue a career in management. Abascal began his managerial career with Sevilla's youth sides, and after succeeding managed Chiasso in the Swiss Challenge League with the goal of avoiding relegation.[1] On 10 August 2018, he signed on as manager for Lugano in the Swiss Super League - aged 28, he is one of the youngest professional football managers in Europe.[2][3]
