Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao F.C. in international football competitions

Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao F.C. is a Chinese professional football club based in Guangzhou, China, who plays in the Chinese Super League. Guangzhou Evergrande's first participation in Asian competition was during the 2012 season, when they competed in the AFC Champions League. Their first match was against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, won by Guangzhou.

Guangzhou Evergrande won AFC Champions League in 2013 after draws with FC Seoul, 2–2 in first leg and 1–1 in the second leg, but won the competition on the away goals rule.
