Gronkowski is a Thoroughbred racehorse foaled in 2015. He raced several times in the United Kingdom, winning the Burradon Stakes, before taking part in the 2018 Belmont Stakes and finishing second. He was originally going to race in the 2018 Kentucky Derby, but pulled out due to a fever.[1]
He is named after New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, who is a part-owner of the horse.[2]
