Grindstone Creek (Grand River)

Grindstone Creek is a stream in DeKalb County in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1] It is a tributary of the Grand River.

The stream headwaters are at 39°43′50″N 94°22′01″W / 39.73056°N 94.36694°W / 39.73056; -94.36694 and the confluence with the Grand is at 40°01′08″N 94°08′09″W / 40.01889°N 94.13583°W / 40.01889; -94.13583Coordinates: 40°01′08″N 94°08′09″W / 40.01889°N 94.13583°W / 40.01889; -94.13583.[1]

Grindstone Creek was named for the fact grindstones were sourced from quarries along its course.[2]
