Grayscale are an American pop punk band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[1][3][4] Formed in 2011, the group features lead vocalist Collin Walsh, lead guitarist and backup vocalist Andrew Kyne, rhythm guitarist and backup vocalist Dallas Molster, bassist Nick Ventimiglia and drummer Nick Veno.[3][5] The band formed from the Philadelphia pop punk scene, building a strong reputation and gaining steam among fans and music lovers.[6] In April 14, 2015 Grayscale released their first EP "Change" gaining much success.[6] They are currently signed to Fearless Records.

History

On March 30, 2017 it was announced that Grayscale signed to Fearless Records and released their first single off the label called "Atlantic". It was released alongside a music video.

On April 14, 2017 it was announced Grayscale would be releasing their debut album Adornment via Fearless and that their single "Atlantic" would be on it. They also released another single off the album called "Beautiful Things" which was released the same day as the album announcement.

On June 1, 2017 it was announced that Grayscale would take part in Fearless' Punk Goes... compilation series Punk Goes Pop Vol. 7. They would cover Justin Bieber's hit song Love Yourself for the album. The compilation was released on July 14, 2017 via Fearless.

On July 19, 2017 Grayscale released a music video for their cover of Love Yourself.

On February 12, 2018 the band released the music video for Forever Yours through Billboard.

Musical style and influences

Grayscale's style has been described as "pop punk",[1][2][4][7] as well as "blending pure, raw emotion with elements of alternative rock and punk roots."[1][6]

The band has credited their name to Basement, a British pop-punk band whose debut album features a song with the same name. All the members liked it and decided to name themselves after it.
