Grant Smith (born 20 November 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays for Lincoln City, as a goalkeeper.

Career

After playing youth football for Reading and Fulham, Smith joined the development squad at Brighton & Hove Albion for the 2012-13 season, agreeing a one-year contract extension in May 2013.[2] He joined Bognor Regis Town in February 2014,[3] remaining with the club for the remainder of the season. In May 2014 he was released by Brighton & Hove Albion.[4] He joined Hayes & Yeading United in September 2014[5] but was quickly on the move again joining Farnborough,[6] debuting in the club's 3-0 Football Conference South home defeat to Ebbsfleet United on 4 October 2014.[7] However, after just three appearances, Smith returned to Hayes & Yeading United at the end of October[8] and made his debut for the club in the 1-1 Football Conference South home draw with Sutton United on 2 November 2014.[9] The 2015-16 season saw his second spell with Bognor Regis Town where he was an ever present in the club's successful season which included a run to the semi-final of the FA Trophy; Smith's efforts saw him named the fans' player of the year but the distance in travelling from his Reading home saw him elect to leave the club at the end of the season[10] and join Boreham Wood,[11][12][13] Smith signed for Lincoln City in June 2018.[14] He made his professional debut on 14 August 2018, in the EFL Cup.[15]
