Background
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio, Juice WRLD spoke on the background of the album,by stating:
“ | [I'm] just trying to make music to help people through their situations and tell them about some of my own. It's all genuine, so I think that's what adds to it. Back in high school, even before that, I was good at freestyling. Then I started rapping, and I recorded a few records that didn't have any substance. I thought 'why not put my heart into what I'm making?[7] | ” |
