Gokulotsavji Maharaj is an Indian classical singer of Hindustani music.[1] He is an exponent in the Indore Gharana tradition[2] and follows Haveli Sangeet, a Hindustani musical genre.[1] He composes music under the pseudonym, Madhur Priya.[1] The biography, Shastriya Sangeet Ke Surya, has been published by Neeta Mathur.[3]
Maharaj, a recipient of the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri,[4] was honoured by the Government of India again in 2015 with Padma Bhushan, the third highest Indian civilian award.[5]
