Gokul Medh is in Bogra, Bangladesh

Gokul Medh is one of the Archaeological sites in Bangladesh. It is an excavated mound in the village of Gokul under Shibganj Upazila of Bogra.[1] It is locally popular by name Behula Lakshindarer Basar Ghar. Lakshindar Medh is another popular name of it.[2]

Location

It is about 02 km southwest of Mahasthangarh citadel and 12 km far from Bogra town.[3]

History

According to the Archaeology Department of Bangladesh, estimated that it was built in between 7th century to 12th century. It is said that it was the bride chamber of Behula.
