Goga Bitadze (born July 20, 1999) is a Georgian professional basketball player for Mega Bemax of the ABA League and the Basketball League of Serbia. He also represents the Georgian national basketball team. Standing at 2.11 m (6 ft 11 in), he plays at the power forward and center positions.

Professional career

Early years

Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, Bitadze started his basketball career in 2015 with his hometown club Vita Tbilisi. In December 2015, he moved to Serbia and signed with Mega Basket.[1] He was loaned to KK Smederevo for the 2016–17 season. In 2017, Bitadze was selected to attend the Adidas Next Generation Tournament, where he averaged 17.1 points and 11 rebounds for 25.6 PIR.[2] In the final game, KK Mega Basket lost to CFBB Paris, where Bitadze scored a team-high 17 points.

National team career

Bitadze played for the Georgian U16 national team in 2015 where he averaged 14.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.[3] On August 13, 2015, Bitadze recorded a career high with 24 points against Sweden's U16 national team. Bitadze also played for the Georgian U18 national team in 2016 where he averaged 11.4 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. Bitadze was selected to play for Georgian national basketball team at EuroBasket 2017.[4]
