Gleiss Lutz Hootz Hirsch is a corporate law firm headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany. It is one of Germany's largest law firms, with six offices in Germany, and one in Brussels.[1] The firm formerly had offices in Prague. It has the seventh largest number of Chambers-ranked lawyers in Germany.[2] Gleiss Lutz is a full-service corporate law firm, with a particular focus on private equity and corporate mergers and acquisitions.

The firm was founded on 1 April 1949 by Alfred Gleiss, a lawyer in Stuttgart.[3] In 1956, Helmuth Lutz joined the firm, shortly after the arrival of Christian Hootz and Martin Hirsch.
