Gitanjali Sinha is an Indian origin film maker from Patna,[1][2] based in Mumbai. Gitanjali is known for her debut film Yeh Khula Aasmaan.

Early life and education

Gitanjali was born in 1984 at Patna. At the age of 14, Gitanjali started her course in television production at the Notre Dame Communication Centre,[3] Patna and completed her studies from Patna University in Communicative English with Media Studies.

Gitanjali is also an alumnus of New York Film Academy, St. Martin’s College of Arts, London and Whistling Woods.[4]

Career

Gitanjali started her career in television and radio before getting into film making.[3]

Professional life

In 2012,[5] Gitanjali released her first film Yeh Khula Aasmaan[6] under the banner Gitanjali creations and the film was produced by Hemendra Aran.[7] The movie was inspired by true life incidents and the cast included Raghubir Yadav, Yashpal Sharma,[8] Raj Tandon[9] and Anya Anand.[10] The film had Anand Milind[11] as music directors.
